Your voice, your story: Turning expertise into a seven-figure brand

September 8, 2026 @ 12:00 PM
Location:
Online

In today’s business environment, customers want to buy from people they know, trust, and connect with. For small business owners, a strong personal brand can help build credibility, attract new customers, create partnership opportunities, and open doors to new revenue.

In this high-impact workshop, entrepreneur, speaker, and community builder Misa Chien shares the exact framework she used to build a seven-figure personal brand and a global leadership community — without coming from money, connections, or traditional power networks.

Participants will learn how to position themselves as thought leaders, grow an authentic audience, and turn their voice into real opportunities — from speaking engagements to partnerships, media, and business revenue.

This workshop is especially powerful for professionals who often find themselves as the only one in the room, including women, immigrants, and leaders of color who want to grow their influence without losing their authenticity.

In this workshop, participants will learn:

• How to define a personal brand that feels authentic and supports your business goals

• The 4 pillars of a revenue-driving personal brand

• How to turn content into opportunities (speaking, consulting, partnerships, community, business)

• How to overcome imposter syndrome and cultural conditioning that keeps high-achievers invisible

• How to build influence even if you don’t have a big following yet

• The difference between a brand that gets likes vs. one that makes money

Participants will leave with a clear positioning statement, content strategy, and growth plan they can begin using to strengthen their visibility and grow their business.

This event is part of a live event series coordinated by Digital Ready partner National ACE and subgrantee ACE NextGen, and featuring subject matter experts from the AAPI community. Each event aligns with a course that has been updated with captions and a worksheet translated into Simplified Chinese. This event’s corresponding course is: Defining Your Brand: Connecting to Customers.

Misa Chien is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and AAPI advocate who began her business career with a six-figure jewelry venture while at UCLA. She gained national prominence as the co-founder of Nom Nom Truck, a Vietnamese-inspired food truck that earned acclaim in major publications and a runner-up finish on "The Great Food Truck Race." Her success in food entrepreneurship led to her being named to Inc. Magazine’s "30 Under 30" and CNN’s list of next-generation female entrepreneurs. Today, Chien focuses on her role as the founder of The Authentic Asian, an AAPI female leadership community that supports founders and executives through networking, workshops, and supper clubs.
