026 Resilience Fund

Brief Description:

$5,000 Grants to Restaurants and Caterers – Apply by June 30

Restaurants are the heartbeat of any community – small businesses that employ thousands and enrich communities. When restaurants thrive, communities thrive. The Restaurants Care Resilience Fund is offering $5,000 grants to independent restaurants and commercial caterers in select California counties to invest in kitchen equipment, technology upgrades, employee training, and unexpected hardships. These grants are designed to help restaurants strengthen their business, support their teams, and prepare for the future. Grants are powered by generous donations from The PG&E Corporation Foundation and SoCalGas.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Commercial customer of PG&E or SoCalGas.
  • California restaurant or commercial caterer owned by a California resident.
  • Currently open restaurants with 1-5 locations may apply, but only 1 location per business can be summitted, with annual revenue of up to $3M for that location.
  • Have been in business for at least one full year (opened since June 1, 2025) or recently expanded to a brick-and-mortar*
  • Previous grant recipients may apply again for a different location or concept.

Recently Expanded?*
If your brick-and-mortar restaurant has been open for less than one year, you may still be eligible. To qualify, you must have previously operated a food business such as a food truck, commercial catering, or pop-up, for at least one full year. In this case, you may submit: one year of revenue documentation from your existing business, and a commercial utility bill for your new location.
