Meet the presenters:

Danetta Jackson

Danetta Jackson is the Chief of the Statewide Supplier Diversity Program at the California Department of General Services (DGS) Procurement Division. As a key member of the executive team, she develops and implements strategic, data-driven initiatives to promote equity in state contracting for small and diverse businesses. A passionate leader, Ms. Jackson is dedicated to breaking down barriers in state contracting and leads the Government Operations Agency Minority-Owned Small Business Task Force, guiding initiatives to create a more inclusive business landscape.

Ms. Jackson is recognized for her collaborative efforts in fostering economic impact. As a member of the UC Supplier Diversity Advisory Council, she played a key role in the UC’s adoption of a 25 percent diverse business contracting goal and the creation of the Small Business First Program. She also facilitated a small business certification reciprocity partnership with DGS, resulting in an additional $5 billion annually in opportunities for small and diverse businesses.

Diane Lydon

Diane Lydon is Assistance Deputy Director and Northern California Regional Advisor for the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA). She serves as the statewide CalOSBA lead on all procurement-related and supplier diversity programs and initiatives.

Prior to joining the Office of Small Business Advocate, Diane was the Business Outreach Manager for the Office of Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Services with the Department of General Services where she led a team empowered to help California small businesses thrive in state contracting through education and training for business owners on how to do business with the state and the benefits of pursuing state certification.

As Manager of Education and Training for the World Trade Center Northern California, Diane managed development and delivery of educational training programs, designing and managing training activities for small to medium-size companies on export fundamentals, markets, supply chain and finance. She collaborated on programs with Small Business Development Centers, Chambers of Commerce, the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Commercial Services.

Diane is an experienced leader in business development and marketing communications. She has a proven record of accomplishments in helping small and diverse businesses successfully connect to markets to achieve brand and business objectives. She is a past member of NAWBO Silicon Valley and a current member of DGS Waterfront Toastmasters.

Alison French-Tubo

Alison French-Tubo is the Outreach Manager for Capital Programs & Climate Financing Authority (CPCFA), housed in the State Treasurer’s Office. Alison has hands-on experience in CPCFA’s unique mix of programs encouraging capital investment to advance California's economic, environmental, and climate policy goals. Alison’s background includes several private and public sectors, including construction project management and solid waste management. She is a graduate of Southern Oregon University.
