About this Program
The San Bernardino County Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant is designed to assist businesses that have experienced economic barriers due to the effects of the global pandemic. The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved $2,500 to be disbursed to qualified businesses. Applications will be open soon.

The following documents are required and must be submitted with application for review and approval:
Personal Information: Drivers License or State Issued ID or Passport or Permanent Resident Identification Card (Green Card)
Business Information: Business License or CA Statement of Information or Health Permit
Tax Information: 2019 and 2020 Tax Documentation
Employment Verification Documentation: Payroll Tax Forms or Payroll Statements
In addition, be prepared to provide a statement on how your business was affected by COVID-19 pandemic and how your business plans to recover.

How do I qualify for this grant?
Businesses and Non-Profits that quality for this grant must have the following criteria:
*Source: Grant requirements set by State of California
- Business located within the San Bernardino County boundaries
- Business started before December 31, 2019
- 5 or less full-time employees
- Gross Revenues of less than $50,000 in 2019 Tax Year and 2020 Tax Year
- Did not receive the California Relief Grant issued by Lendistry
Is my business ineligible for the Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant?
If your business falls within one of these categories, your business in ineligible to apply: Cannabis, Smoke Shop and Adult Entertainment Related businesses, Residential or Real Estate projects including short term rental businesses, Native American Tribes, Government entities including elected officials and county staff; passive businesses, investment companies, and investors who file a Schedule E on their tax returns; Financial institutions or businesses primarily engaged in the business of lending; businesses that restrict patronage for any reason other than capacity.

I started my business December 31, 2019 and did not file a 2019 tax return. Is a 2019 tax return required?
No, an explanation as to why your tax return was not filed in 2019 will satisfy this requirement. Please prepare a written statement including business information, statement, and business owner signature. This document can be uploaded in place of the 2019 Tax document.
My business closed in 2020 due to the pandemic, I filed my 2019 tax returns but did not file 2020 tax returns. Is a 2020 tax return required?
No, an explanation as to why your tax return was not filed in 2020 will satisfy this requirement. Please prepare a written statement including business information, statement, and business owner signature. This document can be uploaded in place of the 2019 Tax document.
I filed both my 2019 and 2020 Tax return, are both required?
Yes, both tax returns are required. These documents will be reviewed for the total gross revenue of $50,000 in 2019, then to determine if there was a decline of at least 10% in gross revenue in 2020 to determine eligibility.
How do I find my industry 6 digit NAICS Code?

(i.e. Hotel, restaurant, barber shop, lawyer services, etc.)
Are the grant funds taxable?
Yes, all approved applicants will receive a 1099-G per federal grant requirements.
How will the payments be issued?
All payments will be issued to applicant by AmPac Business Capital via Mastercard. Check payments or ACH deposits will not be remitted.
I have multiple businesses or multiple locations, can I apply for each of my business locations?
No. This grant is only for the primary business holder and will be determined by based on one business. Any business owner that submits multiple businesses and or the same business twice will be automatically deemed ineligible.
Is there a grant scoring system?
No. The grants will be reviewed based on the order received. In order to advance to the funding round, be sure to provide all required documents at the time of applications. All applications will be held for 4 weeks, to allow ample time to complete application if business documentation is missing?
Are there restrictions on how I choose to use the card?
If awarded, all expenses must be deemed as a business expense. This includes but not limited to business supplies, renewal fees, business debt, business utilities, protective equipment or business equipment. The Sponsor of this card may restrict the use of this card at certain merchants or locations. How do I self certify my application:
By completing your application with all of the required documents and providing electronic signature, your application is self certified. All documents are provided are under penalty of perjury and are deemed true and correct upon receipt of application. In the event, there is an audit of documentation, and your business is found non-compliant. San Bernardino County and its partners reserve the right to see the legal consequences of perjury to the fullest extent.
I offer cosmetology services and I sub-lease, can I still apply?
Yes, a business license or a business-related license is acceptable. This would include state issued license. This would also apply to barbers, massage therapists, hairstylists, skin care providers, nail technician, hair removal services.
I have both my 2019 and 2020 personal 1040 tax returns which includes a Schedule C. Can I submit only my Schedule C?
No, in order to determine eligibility and to mitigate fraud. All pages of tax return is required to determine eligibility including Schedule C.
I received the COVID Compliant Business Partnership Grant. Am I still eligible to receive the Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant.
